Are there printer utilities compatible with Epson Stylus C86?

I'd like to use utilities for Epson printers, similar to those that came with Mandrake 10.0 Official, to check ink levels in cartridges, etc. But the version of utilities in Mandrake 10.0 Official don't work with the Stylus C86. I haven't been able to find anything that explicitly says it will work with the C86 in my searches, so I'm wondering: Did I get a printer that's just a little ahead of the curve for these utilities? I'm using the C84 settings in the printer drivers and the only downside seems to be that I can't use the maximum resolution of the C86 (2880X1440 instead of 5760X2880 or something similar). Could I use the settings for the C84 in mtink or similar utilities? Or should I just wait it out until the C86 is "officially" supported by these utilities?

Thanks in advance.
