Apple eMac sound doesn't work
eMac 700Mhz
apple keyboard that came with computer
I "successfully" installed the latest version of Yellowdog on my eMac. I installed the Personal Desktop option. The only issue was changing the vert refresh in the XF86.config, then and only then did it work.
However my sound doesn't work, sort of. It makes a sound when I first start the computer but once I'm logged in and the GUI is up I get a very faint sound when I test. I have to be really quiet and put my ear up to the speakers. I can barely hear "something". The Yellowdog website states sound may or may not work. I'd like for it to work. Wife would like to listen to music and such. If anyone has had any experience with this please share.
Also, the eject key on my keyboard will not eject a cd. I must open the door, then use a screwdriver to press the eject button manually.
I took a linux class 3 years back, and have very limited knowledge. I choose to install on my eMac cause it is the only personal computer I own. I'm looking to start out small and work my up.
Thanks in advance for everyone's input,
Chris
