Another Sound prob.

I have a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz(OEM Dell). My sound seemed to work fine in Red hat 7.3, but now i installed Red Hat 8.0, and although sound is present, it is very soft, and only in one speaker. I have ran aumix and kmix, but the every volume is all the way up, and the balance is set to center. My comp is set up to use ES1371 sound right now. Again, I'm sorry to post such a repetitive problem, but I nothing else has seemed to work.

If you still have 7.3, do

/sbin/lsmod

Compare this to 8.0's

Did you chmod devices? Must.

su
chmod 777 /dev/dsp
chmod 777 /dev/audio
chmod 777 /dev/mixer
chmod 777 /dev/mixer1
chmod 777 /dev/scd0

Lastly, check your audio cable and speaker volume/balance.
