Hi

I bought a http://www.koolu.com/ and it came with ubuntu preinstalled (and a working Gnome). I'm a Slackware buy so I just scrapped ubuntu and installed Slackware. Unfortunately I didn't have the patience to make a backup

The problem is the video card on the device is an embedded LX800. I looked around and it appears I need to set up xorg to use Driver "amd", but the xorg on Slackware 12 doesn't have it.

According to this http://www.amd.com/us-en/Connectivit...E11363,00.html drivers will eventually end up in xorg, but for now all I can get is the command-line.

Does anyone have a machine with one of these video cards? Any advice would be welcome.

Since Xorg is modularized, you can try to find a Slackware file that contains the amd module for Xorg. Another way is compile the module.
