LinuxQuestions.org - Amarok breaks BT-Sound

Hi all,

yesterday I configured my Dapper Drake to work with my new bluetooth headset via btsco. XMMS and Skype work like a charm.
Though using Gnome I installed Amarok so I could use it's nice podcast feature.

I configured it to use the Xine-engine with Alsa and to use "hw:1,0" as the output device. It worked fine until now.

The surprise was that after booting Ubuntu this morning Amaork wouldn't play back anything via my bt headset.

Connecting is still no problem and all the other applications still work with the headset as long as I don't play anything with Amarok. It then actually seems to play the podcasts/mp3s but the headset doesn't react. In order to make it work again I have to replug my bt dongle und reset the headset my taking out the battery, as it doesn't seem to react anymore.

Another thing I noticed is that when I can change the volume via headset buttons I normally get a "speaker change"-output from btsco. When I play back with Amarok the output appears _after_ I reset the headset connection (same happens when I have an rfcomm connection but no sco connection), so It seems as if there isn't even an sco connection to play back sound when I use Amarok.

Yet another observation is that after Amarok playback I can't unload snd_bt_sco via rmmod anymore, though I closed the connection by canceling the btsco-command and Amarok itself.

Hope that there's anyone who can help.
