ALSA Sound Blaster Live! (emu10k1) surround 5.1

I have 5.1 speakers connected to a Sound Blaster Live! 5.1
My problem is that mi rear rigth speaker doesn't sound, and my rear left one sounds as both them.

How can I configure it to sound correctly?

How can i try 5.1 sound?

I use Debian with 2.6.10 kernel and ALSA emu10k1 module

I'm not sure, have you checked the ALSA web site?

type alsamixer in console, it will launch a sort of gui of the mixer. Often the center and surround volume is set to 0, try to increase.

Yes, i have seen ALSA website.

And yes, i have been playing with different mixers.

With surround, if i balance to rigth, it sounds in rear left, and the same if i balance to left, so my rear rigth speaker never sounds.

The other controls i think that works well.

And i dont know any program to try if 5.1 is working. In doom3, if i select this option in configuration, it says that there isnt surround system.

I dont know what can I do.

Follow the instructions there for Doom3 sound setup. You can only change the sound fromt he command line in Doom3 not from the gui.
