Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Question alsa emu10k1-synth problem (?)

Hi.
When my system starts up this is what I see in the messages (taken from dmesg):

What can be the problem? The thing is that I have sound, I can use the microphone, and I didn't notice any serious drawbacks of that message (yet), but still it seems that there is a problem.
For example the kmix sound slider (the one that appears when you single click on the kmix icon in the tray) doesn't do anything, but when I open the whole mixer window I can control sound with the master slider (and with some other sliders).
It is not a huge problem as you can see, but I prefer a 'clean' errorless system startup if possible.
I'm using Debian Lenny (with KDE 3.5.x) and the sound card is an Audigy 2 ZS Notebook.
Thanks for reading.

I can't reproduce your error on same OS with same desktop and same card in a desktop rather than a Notebook. Played with mic and Synth settings.
I've never played with kmix settings, left it default from installation. Don't use a mic and it's disabled in output tab (led dimmed, 0% slider). Volume Slider next to clock works.

All LEDs are lit in input tab and mic at 75%, synth at 100%, PCM, both 3D, Line2, IEC95B, Aux2, Analog Mix, Audigy CD all at 0%.

Switches, only Audigy Analog/Digit and External Amp LEDs are lit, HD channel Capture = 0, HD source Capture = SPDIF.

Output tab, headphone LED don't matter, works either way even with slider at 0%, both 3D at 0%, all PCM, Front, Synth at 100%. Surround, Center, LFE, Side, Line, Line2, CD, Mic, Phone, IEC958. PC Speaker, Aux, Aux2, Analog Mix, Audigy CD are all at 0%. All HD* at 75%.
