advice PCI eSATA card

Hi,

I Currently have Suse 10 on my computer. I also have an external Lacie eSata hard disk.
Unfortunatly the eSata PCI card which was delivered with the hard disk isn't recognized by suse (and Lacie doesn't provide a Linux driver).
Does anyone know a PCI eSata card that will run with Linux?

Any help appreciated

Thanks

you might try contacting lacie's customer support, and find out if they can provide a driver seperately

already did. They answered "Sorry we do not have any drivers for Linux. "

well, in that case, you can try to write your own drivers, if your a really linux and programming savy.

well, is your card still less than a month old? i dont know how it works where you come from, but here in portugal you have one month from the day you buy an electronic item to exchange it if your having problems.
you might try going back to where you bought it and ask if they can exchange you sata card for one thats linux compatible, or ask for a refund and get one somewhere else.

otherwise, i really dont know what can be done. i'm also a begginer in linux, and from my experience so far it crushes windows like a bug in all aspects, except when it comes to driver availability. so try all your options before thinking about abandoning linux.
