advice for usb RECORDING soundcard
 

Hi
I'm running a linux FC4 laptop (kernel 2.6.16.18 recompiled by me - everything works).
I need to get a good USB soundcard for recording pourposes (I have an external maudio dmp3 preamp and good microphones, so I don't need phantom power or mic pres on the card) and I was thinking about an m-audio Audiophile usb. Does anyone have experience with this card? Any other advices?
I'd like to also have midi, but that's not a strong need.
I'm looking for a good quality 2 channel soundcard, I don't need it for games or 5.1 movies, just for recording.
