Adaptec 29160 Controller Card Kills onboard Nic on Dell 4700 , Fedora 3

After a full load on Fedora Core 3 on a Dell 4700 using 2 - 80 SATA drives with software raid, I plugin a 29160 scsi controller to access a dat drive, kudzu see the card and configures, next thing that appears is bringing up eth0 failure SIOCSIFFLAGS: Resource temporarily unavailable
I can remove the scsi card and kudzu removes the configuration, but the nic, Intel 82562ET/GT/GZ Pro 100 VE still does not load, with the same responce SIOCSIFFLAGS: Resource temporarily unavailable.? I can load Fedora with the scsi card installed for the begining and both devices work. This worked on all Redhat distro's I have used in the past.
Is this maybe a Dell problem. or kudzu in Fedora?

Update :
Must have been an IRQ conflict, placing the card in the bottom pci slot , it has only 2
seems to have resolved the issue
