I have installed a Adaptec 2410sa in my server.

i put in the SuSe 10.0 cd en boot from it

then its looks for hardware. he sees the Adaptec 2410sa SATA raid card en uses the aacraid driver it sayes. then i install the standard items for SuSe 10.0 after installation

i installed RaidManger
but when i start it with /usr/RaidMan/RaidMan.sh

it is not finding my Adaptec 2410sa

how is this possible?? by installation of SuSe 10.0 it the installation finds already the card

Please help, i bought the card for 250 euros so i hope someone can help me

We have the same problem, setup the 2410SA with a 4 disk RAID 5 set,
Bios sees it (but not the capacity). But install Ubuntu (on a separate disk) or Windows XP does not see the disk.
Under Device Manager (in Wondows :-O) we see that the Device is detected but will not start. ASM cannot detect the controller card.

We really try to install an Ubuntu system with this card, so I'll see how it goes.

BTW, even if we cannot controller card in the OS (any OS), shouldn't the Bios present the Raid set as a single disk anyway? This is confusing.
