Question Activating composite video input on SAA7134 card

I have a Philips SAA7134 based LifeView Flyvideo 3000 and I can watch and record RF broadcast TV (using mythtv on Redhat 9). But I am unable to watch or record anything from the card's composite video input. I would like to 'rescue' some old VHS tapes to digital before they fade away completely.

I tried to configure the video input in mythtv, but nothing comes up when I try to watch it. I also tried xawtv, with the same result.

Has anyone had success with activating the composite video input on this card? If yes. how?

Any help would be appreciated.
