Smile Accessing visible but uninitialized ntfs harddrive

Hello,
I am brand new to linux so please bare with me. Running Synology with DSM 5.1-5022 Update 4. I have two hard drives setup in RAID 1 on the NAS in bays 3 and 4 and a third NTFS hard drive in the fifth bay which was previously in an external enclosure. Here is what I get when looking for drive details:
______________________________________________________________
fdisk: device has more than 2^32 sectors, can't use all of them

Disk /dev/sdc: 2199.0 GB, 2199023255040 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 267349 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdc1 1 267350 2147483647+ ee EFI GPT
fdisk: device has more than 2^32 sectors, can't use all of them

Disk /dev/sdd: 2199.0 GB, 2199023255040 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 267349 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdd1 1 267350 2147483647+ ee EFI GPT

Disk /dev/synoboot: 125 MB, 125829120 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 15 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/synoboot1 * 1 2 16033+ 83 Linux
/dev/synoboot2 3 14 96390 83 Linux

Disk /dev/sde: 2000.3 GB, 2000398934016 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 243201 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sde1 1 243201 1953512001 7 HPFS/NTFS
_________________________________________________________________
It is the /dev/sde1 that I want to mount on the NAS as read only and copy the files from it into the main drive. Or, if possible access the drives directly in DSM after 'initializing' the drive.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated especially if you are able to walk me through it as I am noob at this.

Thanks

I assume you can still manually mount the drive like the in the thread below. The OP is just creating a directory with the mkdir command and using the mount command i.e.

mkdir /volume2 (Make sure volume2 does not already exist)
mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sde1 /volume2

Thanks michaelk.
When I try your specific code I get the following:

StrattonHome> mkdir /volume2
StrattonHome> mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sde1 /volume2
mount: mounting /dev/sde1 on /volume2 failed: No such device

StrattonHome> ntfs-3g /dev/sde1 /volume2
ntfs_attr_pread_i: ntfs_pread failed: Input/output error
Failed to read NTFS $Bitmap: Input/output error
NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a
SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows
then reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very
important! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate
it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g.
/dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the 'dmraid' documentation
for more details.

Then from the last posting in the thread you referenced.

StrattonHome> edit "/usr/syno/etc/smb.conf /volume2
> run "/usr/syno/etc/rc.d/S80samba.sh restart"
> chkdsk /f

then nothing happens...
