access Belkin wireless router memory?

I have an 802.11g Belkin router which I'd like to ssh or telnet to directly. Even better, if I could just mount it (but it only has ethernet connections.) Is this even possible? I know it has a MIPS processor and a hacked Linux kernel because the Belkin site has a cross-toolchain for the Broadcom internals but I don't know exactly how to connect to it. Has anyone done this before? Thanks.

You can not unless you dismantle it.

You could use a 3rd-party firmware to increase the capabilities of the wireless router. You can then do ssh and as well as several others.

Go to http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page for more information.

Thanks. That definitely looks like it works for my router. I'll probably try it out.

It looks like my hardware is too new. For my router it doesn't work past v3000 hardware (mine is v6000.) Good thing I really read through it because it was sort of obscurely mentioned. Thanks anyway.
