Abit NFS-S and Athlon XP 2800 problimatic in linux?
I am just wondering if I am going to have a hard time getting everything to work with a new motherboard and CPU I would like to buy they are a
SOCKET A ABIT NF7-S (I think it has an Nforce2 MCP2 T) chipset motherboard and Athlon XP 2800 CPU
It should work ok. Like all the nforce2 boards posts in this forum they all work fine. Make sure you go to Nvidia's site and download the drivers for your chipset. You will have some trouble setting up an ATI video card with your board if you get one.
Hey Electro why will I have problems with a Radeon card with this board?? I currently have a Radoeon 9100... its working fine now. When I put it into the new board am I going to have problems??
Thanks alot. I will make sure I download these drivers from NVIDA (I am off to buy the board monday)
Kind of funny isnt it buying a board with and Nvida chipset and having a ATI graphics card lol.
Hmmm thanks for that Grung ... I will keep that in mind when I install kernal 2.6.0 ... Still on 2.4.22 (although heard about some sort of a security problem)
