Again a problem with the onboard sound...

I finally got the sound to work by turning up the "surround" control in alsamixer (the "master" doesn't seem to do anything at all). The other jack connections don't give any sound though (so it should just be in 2-speaker mode)

Now I get distorted sound on the left channel only... It's not the speakers because I tried it with other ones. It also doesn't seem to matter whether I use ALSA or esd. The right channel sounds perfectly fine!

Any ideas? The distortion is really annoying, especially when you turn things up
