Question A good distro for AMD A6-6310 APU with AMD Radeon R4 Graphics

As you can see in the title, that is the processor my laptop has. I've tried many types of distros like Ubuntu-based ones, Arch-based ones, Debian based ones, etc.. Right now I'm just running Windows 10. I've been wanting to switch for years, but it's been hard. I haven't tried any knew distros in the past 5-6 months so I'm willing to try again.

NintenAkira,

Ebuyer in the UK used to sell a range of HP AMD laptops with Ubuntu pre-installed.

This is the current one (HP 455) for sale:

The HP 255 G4, which sounds similar to your laptop, also used to have Ubuntu installed:

Basically you can use any Linux distro you like.

Try them as live DVDs or USBs first, without actually installing them. Then pick one you like best.

Give Slackware a run. 14.2 is due out soon, so give it a try.
