56k modem configuration


I Have The "ace 56k Internal Data-fax-voice Modem" I Cant Configure It In Redhat Enterprice Linux 4(es)(2.6.9-5 El)
It Is Pci Modem.

It is very likely a winmodem. You need to install drivers for those. http://www.linmodems.org/ and http://www.fatshady.co.uk/linux/modem.php

The best advice, get a external serial modem. They are a lot more stable and they just plain work.
