3D Acceleration on ATI R200 QL

I was having some trouble enabling 3D acceleration on my graphics card (ATI R200 QL, on SuSE 9.2 pro) up until a couple hours ago. I would enable it, it would say "Your modifications will take effect next time the graphics system is restarted" and I would restart the computer. It would then return to disabled. That has now fixed itself, but whenever I try to open a game such as Tux-Racer, it says "No 3D graphics card available or 3D support not configured yet" What does this mean? Do I need to install drivers, and if so, what ones?

Thanks in advance,

ATI's latest drivers are a big improvement over their previous releases. You can get them here:

I recommend using the installer - it's quite nifty, although it is a little heaftier too.
