3c905B in KnoppMyth (based on Knoppix)

Hi

I have installed KnoppMyth (a distro based on knoppix with mythtv installed) on my computer but it does not seem to recognise my network card. I have a 3com 3C905B network card that has worked fine in all my other linux distro's I have tried. I have read things on the internet about using 'modprobe 3c59x' (which I think is the right module) but I am not sure what to do from there. What exactly should I do to create the eth0 bit and get networking set up on my machine?

If you have done modprobe 3c95x, then do lsmod | grep 3c95x to see if its there. If it is,
ifconfig eth0 up
dhcdcd eth0

If it wasn't there, you'll need to compile it as a module.

Thanks for the response. 3c59x is in the grepped output of lsmod - so I tried ifconfig eth0 up and it gave the following error:

"ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:11.0[A] -> GSI 11 (level, low) -> IRQ 11"

Any other ideas?
