Hello.
I just unstalled Suse 11.1
My video card is nvidia 9400 gs
When I go to yast>hradware>videocard and screen, I can see the name of the video card. So I suppouse that my videocard is installed. But I am not sure. How can I check it?
And I dont know how to configure 2 screens. When I run my PC with 2 screens conected, Suse runs, but the screens are darks, and I cannot see anything.
If I run My pc with one screen, it runs OK, but I have only one screen. And I want to configure my 2 screens.
Any help please?
My guess is that you're running on stock VESA drivers for your video card. I'd suggest starting with installing the Nvidia drivers, then running nvidia-xconfig. Typically, this does a very good job of setting up xorg.conf to run with two monitors. You can download Linux drivers directly from the Nvidia webisite.
Edit: And please, read the documentation...

It should be the same, functionally. You may want to try the driver from the Nvidia website. If the Nvidia driver isn't working for you, it is possible to run two monitors with the VESA drivers using Xinerama. However, I think the Nvidia drivers would be much better for you. Can you post the relevant portions of your xorg.conf? If you're going to use the vesa drivers, your xorg.conf would need something like...
