10.1 and GeForce FX 5200 issues

For a few days now, I have been trying to get into Graphics card and monitor settings in Yast. It crashes every time, yet everything else in Yast works fine. Today, I tried accessing the video and monitor through sax2. This is what happened:

linux-o0cc:~ # sax2 -r -m0=fglrx
-b/usr/share/doc/packages/fglrx/sax2-profile
SaX: initializing please wait...
SaX: your current configuration will not be read in

SaX: access to your display has been granted
SaX: ups lost card during probing... abort at /usr/share/sax/init.pl
line 619.
linux-o0cc:~ #

I think this is why Yast kept crashing when trying to access the video card and monitor settings. Is there a reason why this is happening, and is there a workaround or fix for this problem? Everything in 10.1 has been updated, including the video drivers. Right now, my monitor is stuck in 960X529 resolution, with no other options.

Isn't fglrx the ATI driver?

I tried several variations in sax. While in sax2, I typed: 'sax2 -p' to see what video devices were listed. The same listing came up as in Yast, which is that chip0=i810 and chip1=nvidia. The i810 is the onboard video on my motherboard. That chipset works with AGP cards and shuts down when an AGP card is present. But, the GeForce FX 5200 is a PCI card. The BIOS shows that only a PCI, Nvidia card is working and that the integrated video is disabled. But, for some reason, Linux over-rode the BIOS (seemingly) and included the i810 in the video list, along with the GeForce/nvidia. I don't know how on earth it did that. Or why for that matter. It is like Linux is bypassing the BIOS and allowing both the i810 and the nvidia to run at the same time. This may be why it is glitching.
