[SOLVED] Asus mb for the HP Vectra VL420 Mb
I bought what was supposed to be, and is, an Asus P4B-MX mother board, and downloaded a manual for it. But, the board and manual are different. Turns out that this is a proprietary board for the HP Vectra Vl420 desktop.
There is a six pin connector on the board labeled "PSU_FAN" which makes me believe that a proprietary HP power supply must be used.
Does anyone know if a standard ATX power supply is compatible? I've searched this forum and Googled with no results.
SOLVED - Kept Googling and found pinout for the HP psu 20 pin connector. It's same as regular ATX PSU.
Glad you found your answer without too much work. Replying to take this off of the zero reply list.
