[SB Live! 5.1] How can I adjust subwoofer volume?

Hi all

After some researching around this forum and various other sites, I got my new SB Live 5.1 + Creative Z-640 system working nicely under Linux. Only problem is that I can't seem to be able to figure out how to adjust subwoofer volume. It seems to default to minimum, so if I turn it to maximum from the subwoofer itself, it provides some output, but not even close to what it can deliver with Creative drivers + Creative Surround Mixer on Windows. I checked various alsamixer controls, including the bass and tremble controls, but they only seem to affect the satellite speakers, not the subwoofer.

I'm pretty sure this question has been asked somewhere already and already answered, but I seem to be unable to find anything on the topic neither in this forum nor in google. So if someone could point me to the right keywords for searching or some page that hints how to adjust the subwoofer volume in linux, it would be greatly appreciated.

Best wishes and thanks in advance,
Alo Sarv.

don't use alsa drivers, goto sourceforge and get the emu10k1 driver and emu-tools. ALSA is generic at best, emu10k1 was written specifically for the 5.1 cards.
