[could be a little off topic] usb device self made

Hello,
does anybody know where I can find a simple electrical scheme for
a usb device that could be seen as a joystick by the pc? This
device should have only few buttons, on or off, not analogic
controllers.
Thanks,
tano

Great page! However it uses a microcontroller. I am searching for something simpler.
But it is a very good point to start with. Thanks!!

In a nutshell USB is serial data bus which requires communication between the host controller and a device. This communication requires a microcontroller of some type. There are development boards where you can add switches etc like the following.

What I intend is something that I do not need to program by myself.
Your link seems good, but I have to look at it better.
Thanks!!
