[Bluetooth] Can't connect device

I'm trying to accomplish a connection between my slackware installation and my barcode scanner (MS9535 Voyager).

The manual says that when i want to connect to a bluetooth device, i have to read the address (MAC) and create a barcode of that address... so far so good.

I've i plugin my bluetooth usb receiver, my kernel recognizes it.
The next thing i do is (00:00:00:00:00:00 isn't my real address )

Code:
root@1:~# hcitool scan
Scanning ...
        00:00:00:00:00:00 VoyagerBT 5607410272

root@1:~# hcitool cc 00:00:00:00:00:00
root@1:~# hcitool con
Connections:
        < ACL 00:00:00:00:00:00 handle 42 state 1 lm MASTER
I type the second command immediately when the first command is finished. If i wait for like 10 seconds after i check the connection, i got the following output:

Code:
root@1:~# hcitool con
Connections:
So my scanner isn't connected to my pc.
But the strange thing is that 'sometimes' i got some output from my hcitool

Code:
root@1:~# hcitool con
Connections:
        > ACL 00:00:00:00:00:00 handle 42 state 1 lm MASTER
root@1:~# hcitool con
Connections:
root@1:~# hcitool con
Connections:
root@1:~# hcitool con
Connections:
root@1:~# hcitool con
Connections:
...SNIP...
Connections:
root@1:~# hcitool con
Connections:
root@1:~# hcitool con
Connections:
root@1:~# hcitool con
Connections:
root@1:~# hcitool con
Connections:
        > ACL 00:00:00:00:00:00 handle 0 state 5 lm SLAVE
root@1:~# hcitool con
Connections:
In my logs i can't find anything about it.

How are you handling pairing? Are you using the default PIN under /etc/bluetooth/passkeys?

"hcitool cc" rarely seems to work, you are better off trying to connect with whatever protocol the device natively talks. So does this barcode reader talk to the computer over SPP, or is it intended to work like a Bluetooth HID?
