'RT netlink socket initialing problem'

My computer is partitoned into windows and Red Hat Linux 9.0. Sometimes when I try to login to linux partition it get stuck and give the message ' RT netlink socket initializing' his is at the satge of BIOS loading. Sometimes have to restart the machine manytimes to go to linux. Any suggestions to overcome this problem is highly appreciated.

do u have a bootable network card ??

if yes try disbaling it

my network card becomes inactive in every reboot. Have to activate it manually. But bfore this is done I need to start the machine, it get stuck up giving the message' RT netlink socket initializinsg' If I disable the network card how to work in the network.

to reactivate the network card do

service network restart
this is same as rebooting ur machine

also post the contents of the file
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
when ur network card is not working

and without ur network card up u cannot work on the network
