Some things first:

1. Don't type completely in CAPS, as it looks like you're shouting.
2. Don't ask people to reply immeditately. Everyone volunteers their free time to help, so the person who has the answer to your question may not be around when you need help. Also, your post is no more important than anyone else's.

Now, open a terminal and run "unzip filename.zip" from within the directory containing the file (without quotes of course). If you want more info, read the unzip manpage, with "man unzip".

Well if you've tried unzip post the output so we can see. Also run the file through the 'file' program and post that output too.

What (EXACTLY) is the NAME of the file?? (not the format)

What do you get when you issue "unzip <filename>"? Note that this will not OPEN the file--it will simply uncompress it and create a new file. (after unzip, do "ls" to see what was created)
