"yum info python" gave me 2 installed items. Why? Do I have 2 versions of python installed at the same time or what?

I've already removed one of the versions. But the same with HAL:
[root@server etc]# yum info hal
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up repositories
jpackage-generic [1/7]
livna [2/7]
flash [3/7]
jpackage-fedora [4/7]
updates [5/7]
core [6/7]
extras [7/7]
Reading repository metadata in from local files
Installed Packages
Name : hal
Arch : i386
Version: 0.4.7
Release: 1.FC3
Size : 355 k
Repo : installed
Summary: Hardware Abstraction Layer

Description:
HAL is daemon for collection and maintaining information from several
sources about the hardware on the system. It provides a live device
list through D-BUS.

That's odd -- what does "rpm -q hal" give?
