Mik,

I can still tell the difference between 192 and 320, but I never encoded anything between the two. I just figured that the space savings would not be that significant given my total drive space available.

Gui10,

As far as the music I listen to... it really depends on my mood. Most of the time, I listen to alternative music. But when I want to dance at a club, I prefer European techno / electronica. When I want to be sexy, I like pop. And when I am feel like being dark and bad, I like gothic / industrial music. Lately that has been what I have felt like.

Sorry, but I dont allow access to my computer from outside my local network... security concerns. But I can tell you a few groups I like.

Bluecadet,

I wasnt meaning to offend you or be nasty, so please dont take it that way. Its just when the thread gets to be a more than a few replies, it gets more difficult to know who is asking who a question. Thats all. No bitching intended

with my Linux hard drive (only 3.4GB, most of my files are stored on my 40GB Win2K drive) I used to run:

150mb swap (256mb ram)
400mb /usr
250mb /
800mb /home
1.8GB /usr

all in ext2 at that stage....

last time I reinstalled Linux (Saturday), I just went for 150MB swap and the rest in /, as the /usr directory was often getting full, and I wanted to distribute the free space around all partitions...

Giving ReiserFS a try as well
