Xorg.conf - Widescreen Resolution

Hi,

Im trying to get my NEC MultiSync 20WGX2 to work under slackware at 1680x1050.

So far, all ive done is change the list of resolutions under the screen section, I simply added 1680x1024, which didnt work.

As a result I assume I need to set up modelines and refresh rates/sync rates? But i have no idea what these settings are and i cannot seem to find these settings online. Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help,
Jack

I have just learnt myself that there is a little program called gtf, which will tell you what modelines to use.

I found it in this thread http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=490016
