xfce configuration error

I'm running ./configure for xfce 3.18.14c, and I get an error:

***The glib-config script installed by GLIB could not be found
***If GLIB was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in your path, or set the GLIB_CONFIG environment variable to the
***full path to glib-config.
configure: error: Cannot find GLIB: Is glib-config in path?
I did a find / -name 'glib-config' -print and nothing showed up on my system. Can someone point out what I need to get this workin? Thanks.
