Xchat & Python

Is this actually possible? I thought xchat was capable of letting you use python as a scripting language. I noticed when i started my xchat client up the python option was grayed out how can this be corrected?

Also where can access the python gui from? Or will i have to download it from python.org? I know I saw it being installed during the installation but where is it and how is it activated is what got me.

If there is anyone here who uses xchat and python as their scripting language or knows how I can start please feel free to inform me by posting your opinions.

Thank you!

what is "the python GUI"???

python support is disabled by default if you compiled from source. so you'll need the --enable-python option on ./configure
