X-Video extension

Hello,

I want to be able
to use XVideo extension.
I am running RedHat 7.3 .
the output of xvinfo command is:

X-Video Extension version 2.2
screen #0
no adaptors present

I have a Cirrus Logic GD5480
video card and
XFree86-4.2.0.8

Does anybody know what

upgrade to X 4.3.0, it has greater support for XV, but if your card is old, which it sounds like it is unlikely to get support. also try verbosely loading the xv module in your XF86Config file.
