X server open ports

when i start fluxbox without using wdm
i see -
tcp 0 0* LISTEN 3833/X
tcp 0 0 :::6000 :::* LISTEN 3833/X

i have blocked port 6000 with firewall, why it is listening??

thats the xwindow port, it opens automatically when you start X

you could edit /usr/X11R6/bin/startx and add nolisten tcp to defaultserverargs.
