Hello,

Is there an option in the xorg.conf file keyboard section to have the NumLock on when X starts? I saw an option for XLEDS but it seems that that is for remapping those keys and not turning them on, but I may not be understanding that option well enough. Or is there another option that can do this?

To be able to turn on numlock you need the numlockx utility that is installed in most distros.
