Question www strange behaviour..

Guys,

Let's say that I have a website, www.thisis-mysite.com

In my Apache I set the DocumentRoot into the /opt/htdocs and everythings is working well.

Then I have an upgraded version of the web, let's say in /opt/htdocs-2/web/ and I add this line in the httpd.conf file.

Code:
Alias /web "/opt/htdocs-2/web/"
and this upgraded version could be accessed normally using www.thisis-mysite.com/web
But there is a problem when I change the Doc Root into the /opt/htdocs-2/web/, suddenly the access time become very slaggy.. if the normal time is 30 seconds, then this second try could reach almost 300 seconds just to load the index.php...

Does somebody experienced this before? Do I need to change something that I don't know if I am going to change the doc root? coz this is the first time i've seen this.

I am using Apache 2.0.52 PHP 4.4.2 and Oracle Server 10.0.1 (the Oracle is on the other machine).

Any suggestion is very appreciated.
Thanks.

Can you post some relevant entries for the httpd log files?
