Just terminal porn for geeksters . It probably can be incorporated into a ~./conkyrc file <those in the know, know what I mean> since curl works for me in conky for my simple ~/.weather.sh file.
That's pretty cool. "Console" is a bit misleading - it works in terminal sessions like PuTTY as well.
Also found the "weather" script installed on my RHEL system by default. It says it checks the University of Michigan. The output isn't as cool as the wttr.in output though.

Thanks. I edited the title. I did not think of that.
Because I am not anal and I like it that way. There are probably a list of things I like that irk you and others. Yawn.
Ha!
I used to have a co-worker that whenever I started going into the way things "ought" to be done would go into a long dissertation about why he preferred number 2 pencils. It was an effective way of explaining the difference between absolute facts and opinions.
rokytnji:
of course you can do whatever you like.
so can i.
i just thought it prudent to point out that a variable-width font will look messed up in a terminal. that's what monospaced fonts are there for.
and as for your 2nd screenshot, i think the weather "icons" are much easier to recognize there.
but i liked the colors in the 1st screenshot :-(
