wishes to all,,how to make dual boot linux-rhel-4,win2003 and solaris-9
 
Hi i am anandabalan,
the fast learner in the linux administration field.
i am having so many doubts in this field.
one of my main doubt is to make a system bootin rhel4,solaris9,win2003 in one hard disk.
My system configuration is celeron 1.7,40 GB HDD,256 MB RAM,mercury 845 board...
please help me experts.......
to the young child in this field..

hi,
welcome to LQ forum.

for dual booting, first of all install windows in the primary partion of your hard drive.
After installing that, install Red hat in some primary or logical drive. And ofcourse have 200 mb of swap (its enough since you already have 256mb of main memory).
install the bootloader of Red hat in MBR.
Not at last install Solaris. Don't install its bootloader in MBR.
Now edit the /etc/grub.conf of /etc/lilo.conf file of red hat to make the entry for solaris.
read this before trying to dual boot your machine.
