WINE errors... prolly network related

so I'm trying to wine this program, but things aren't working out too well. (I'm on dial up, single phone line. this program uses call waiting to let you know if someone's calling). There are a couple of settings in the program itself, whether your connected to the net via modem or LAN.. I'm connected by LAN. I can start up the program fine if its set to connect by modem, but as soon as I switch it to LAN connection, it crashes and gives me the following error:

DEVICE_Open Unknown/unsupported VxD Ip.

Any ideas?

It's most likely a feature that isn't implemented in wine.
What version are you using?
When you type in wine -v make sure it's saying
Wine 20030911
If not upgrade. Things in the wine world happen quickly By the time you read this there might be a new wine out, since one is due in the next few days. Check www.winehq.org for the newest version. There is one release/month.
If that still doesn't work, tell us what program you are tring to run? and maybe someone will have an idea of how to get it up and running

Normally I would just assume it's because it's an early version or something, but not this time because I did have it working before, when I downloaded wine from the CVS tree and compiled it myself, which it looks like I may have to do after all...
