windows xp unable to boot alongside rh9

i had partitioned my harddisk and initially installed windows xp in 1 partition. then i installed redhat9 and though i get dos as an on starting the comp windows does not get booted it gives the following message and goes to sleep

rootnoverify(hd0,4)
chainloader +1

try to install xp 1st then install redhat9

i advice you to use windows nt loader
