Windows vs Linux: uploaded file changes format??

We pay our monthly bills by sending a grouped banking order to our bank's clearing house. The file is created in Paymaker 7.6 (win2k) and is standard OPAE (*.sad) format. The file is chosen and sent by using an applet on a html page of the bank's financial services.
However, when sent from within Mozilla running on MDK 8.2 I get error, bad file format messages. The file is the same, (being created in windows) where do the changes come from, and how to make the server accept the file?

I looks like you may be experiencing a Java incompatiblity. Which Java runtimes are you using on your win2k and MDK systems? Do you have a specific error message?

So I don't waste your (or my) time, where should I get the exact runtime versions in mdk 8.2 ? In win 2k I'll find it...
