windows not displaying correctly

I just installed FC3 on a PC. It boots fine into xwindows, but it has a problem. When I open a window, or go into the menus, the windows don't immediately display. When I drag my mouse over them, some of them will then display. Like buttons and menu items. I played around with the resolution and color depth, but no go. Any ideas?

The monitor in xconf is Unknown Monitor, and the video card is Videocard Vendor, board name Intel 815.

I don't know what Video Card is actully in there, and it is a Micron monitor.

Find out what your video card is with this command:

cat /proc/pci | less
