Has anyone figured out how to run a Windows program under linux by using Wine or some other windows emulator? If so, please respond. I have tried vmware but it refuses to work, complaining that a license key file can not be found, even though its there, and according to the instructions in /home/.vmware as license-2.0 !
Also, is there any way EXE files can be run under Linux, such as dos-based EXEs???
If you know the answer, reply! thanx!

You could try using wine or win4lin.

Yeah, but the key word here is: HOW? I have heard about Wine but have no idea how to run it!

RTFM!

A quick search on google and I found these links:

http://www.hardcorelinux.com/wine-howto.htm
http://www.winehq.com/
(and more)

Read them! When you have problems installing, configuring or running, then you post a specific question. Until then, quit your wineing. (uuhh, that was bad)

I agree with crabboy, anyone who asks a specific HOW, when they haven't even read about what they are going to do deserves to get punned.
Some questions so general and not specific that there is really no way for anyone answering questions could answer something in a Forum. Like the above question on Wine, man I am sure you could go over that in a week long 8 hour a day class to cover how to use and install Wine.
So to anyone who asks How? on something non specific should be aware that they might be like crabboy said it, punned!
