How does one change window managers in RH 9?

Run "switchdesk" from a terminal.

Depends if you use command line + startx or a graphical login system. :)

Or you can add an entry for your wm in GDM

Switchdesk only changes my desktop mamager. I'm talking about "window" manager. Sawfish, metacity, ect. I like the way RH 9 act except for the layout, I like RH 7.3's better. And it uses the sawfish window manager, RH 9 uses metacity or something like that.

In RH 9 they made a lot of improvements that I like. But some are annoying!!! For instance, the logout screen contains a help button. It's nice for newbies but I don't want it there. If anyone has RH 9 and know how to change this stuff, lemme know, I'll keep looking and post if I find out how!

The plot thickens! On top of annoying buttons and hard to find menus and options. They've also completely ramped the package manager! They package manager can only handle what packages are installed from the CD. ALSO, if you try to install packages from a directory with spaces in it, it won't open it. What a load of crap!!! And to install foreign packages you double click on the file from nautilus. Can anyone suggest a package manager worth a poo?
