Window - Center of screen - How do I do that

When I open a new windows in KDE or GNOME, I want it to be at the center of the screen.
I know I can do that by dragging the window ..but I am lazy and I do want to do that!!
For example -when I type xterm in Run Program.. it should open up and stations itself at the center of the screen,

X gods!! Pliz help me out!! I am really frustrated since I have to sacrifice extra energy to move windows top the center manually!!

Ooo, if I answer this am I an X-god?

Not certain how to in gnome, but it should be pretty similar (last time I used gnome it was).

In KDE, go into the configuration sub menu for KDE stuff, and look for window behavior, in there you will find settings for window placement. There is centered, random, and smart (and another, I think).

If you need the exact menu path, etc. to get there, let me know and I will double-check.

Under window behavior, click the "Moving" tab and the options are in the dropdown box "placement"

Hey Thx!!! Found that But the prob is it does not work!!
I did choose that option.. even restart xfs but still does not work!!
I am using RHL 9.0
Thx God, not everyone in the world is lazy!!!

I'd try switching to another placement option and then change it back. If that doesnt work, I dont know. I stopped using redhat a long time ago because of abnormal behavior and difficulty keeping the system running and difficulty of installation of new packages.
