win/lin gui differences. some experiences.

Hi folks,
I have recently had to revert to using windows after 4 years of not using windows.
Macromedia is the reason. And darn it, there are no spinners to change the numbers in the boxes for dimentions and lengths and such. They have little arrows telling me which way is up or left. No help at all. GTK and QT have plenty of these and even use the mouse wheel at times, it,s a real ergonomic help not moving so many muscles so many times a day.

Wheelie clicks by-far show their usefulness when they are not there, as does the above. How you miss that highlight and wheelie click when using firefox, and everything else.

Don't ya hate it when the window you want is behind the one you're at. Again that wheelie comes in handy with a tap on the title bar. (how mine is set anyway. or any way YOU want).
A wheelie click on the Maximise button only max's vertically, but a right click there does the horizontal.
These things save me time, effort and probably less RSI in my oppinion.

Oh yeah.. I did use google earth which is another reason for windows but now I've seen that, I've been there and done that. Maybe a linux client will surface one day.

Well that's off my chest...
You could add one if you like.

Have fun with linux and don't think "How do you do that" think "How 'CAN I' do that"
