Will Deleting 70-persistent-cd.rules and 70-persistent-net.rules Work As a "Live USB"

Hello,

For quite some time now I've been using Knoppix as a Live CD for any files I need to transfer. However I like Slackware (and no I don't plan on using Slax) and was going to try and get a semi-live CD version of it (live USB really).

So basically I'm wondering if it's possible to just make a bash script that will delete 70-persistent-cd.rules and 70-persistent-net.rules from /etc/udev/rules.d on shutdown to create this "Live USB". I'm hoping that this will allow a USB HDD with Slackware installed on it to start up with the right hardware settings on any computer. Simultaneously I'm hoping it loads up with my files saved (this is assuming I add no proprietary device drivers).

You would be better off using the "linux live" scripts that already exist for Slackware to create the custom USB you want.
