wider screen
Hello,
I am using Redhat 7.2 (together with W2K) on a laptop. Dual boot is done via GRUB. I would like to know how to increase the size of the viewable screen when using Linux in text-based mode (that is not X). Currently it occupies only a small central portion of the whole display. Any one can help? Thanks. Also, if I want to enable the scrolling button of my mouse, what should I do, please advise. Thank you all. |
i'm not sure if it's the same in grub, but on my redhat machine (dual booting between RH 7.2 and win2k with lilo) i put this line in my /etc/lilo.conf file:
vga=791 that kicks my console resolution up to 1024x768. hope this helps. |
