Wi-Fi Connections, passwords, etc.

I'm using a GNOME and KDE desktop environment for two different user accounts in FC6. GNOME works fine, I'm using the keyring manager and the Wi-Fi connection is easy and works all the time, or almost, although, when I first installed Fedora (FC5), I went through H3LL to get the thing working - I don't even remember what was done, because a friend of mine helped me through it every step of the way, and even he had a lot of trouble, anyway... - In the KDE user account, I can't seem to figure out how to get the Wi-Fi working. It's kind of strange. I have the following info, which might help solve the problem:

I open the KWiFi Manager, and sometimes I get no connection and can't connect at all. Sometimes it connects automatically. The few times that I'm absolutely positive that I got it working was by clicking on "Scan for Networks", then by putting in the WEP key in the fourth column (WEP), then filling in the root password ("Run as root - KDE su" window). However, this doesn't work all the time.

When I try opening the keyring manager, I get the following message: "GNOME Keyring daemon is not running".

A trick that seems to work is to open the Wi-Fi connection from another user account using GNOME, then going back to the other account using KDE. That sometimes works, strangely enough.

I would like this to work without hassle because one person is going to be using the KDE account and another will be using the GNOME account.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
